It sounds like you might be remoted in to an admin session. If so, try logging on to the console with the Hyper-V Manager, or SCVMM, or whatever you're using to manage the environment. If not, well, I dunno.
Just for giggles, what do you get if you run "change user /query" from a command prompt? Is the installer a script that might be trying to put the machine in install mode? Just tossing out ideas...
