If you want decent food at decent prices, you need to hit the "old strip".
Plus the light show is a pretty cool sight to see.

I got married in Vegas last August. Coming from Alaska, I was certain the
106 degree temperatures would destroy me....and I was almost right. However,
that was my first trip to a desert climate and it's far better than the heat
in Texas or Florida.

Anyway, you really don't need a vehicle in Vegas. You'll find yourself
walking quite a bit, or taking a cab to anywhere not on the main strip. One
day we rented a brand new Corvette and drove to the Hoover Dam. That was an
absolute blast!
