Gotta love Symantec support. we recently put in a client who would require Backup Exec 2010, 4 Remote agents, 2 Echange Agents, 1 SQL agent and 4 hyper-v agents.
We installed the trial, and the backup failed constantly, with losing communication to the tape drive. Tape tested out with HP L&TT no issues. So contacted Symantec for pre-sales support for approximately £4,000 worth of sale. Symantec response "You haven't bought the software or any maintenance therefore no support." Suffice to say we didn't buy the software and sold them DPM instead to run off one of their old servers. Not what the client wanted but they are happy in the end.
