Anything in the event logs around the time you join the domain?
Also, what are the DNS servers set to on this machine?  IIRC, joining a
domain is usually a problem related to resolving the DC's correctly.  DNS
and WINS are the usual suspects for these issues, so you may want to review
those on the appropriate servers to ensure that the IP address and name
match the computer being joined.
