This isn't do or die. What I can get is what I can get. It isn't worth sending off for professional recovery.
In the past, I have sent drives for professional recovery and it was well worth the cost. This time, not so much. Thanks to all for the input. Right now the "Freezer Trick" seems to have worked. This morning the drive showed up in "My Computer", but with no data. After a couple hours in the freezer, it showed data and I am in the middle of copying off the needed files. While I've had some luck with GetDataBack, there's always a possibility that trying this "at home" could make the problem worse to the point that the pros can't do anything with it either.
