Yes it's a rebuild of the same G6 hardware as before. I didn't do via
the GUI, since I need to write-align and partition the disks (LUNS) at
64K accordingly for proper setup of SQL 2005/2008+. 

 

So basically using the following. 

 

Dispart

Select disk 1

Create partition primary align=64

 

Then the following for formatting

 

Format Drive_letter /FS:NTFS /A:64K

 

Rinse, wash repeat for all LUN's created.

Are you comparing against the same hardware as before?

Also, have you tried though the GUI for comparison?

For the record,i never format hd volumes without the quick format
option.  Then I run CHKDSK on it at my leisure.
