Yeah, I hear ya. I was thinking about a different volume - not what Exchange was running on or where the mailbox stores reside.

No, Windows will complain, but will create a temp paging file. Of course, Michael's point is key here: It think it would be obvious that the other drive was dead, given the nature of this server. :) ASB (My XeeSM Profile)<http://XeeSM.com/AndrewBaker> Exploiting Technology for Business Advantage... I would think the only reason to keep a page file on the OS partition is if you're concerned with capturing a memory dump. Other than that, as long as your alternate disks are local to the server, and aren't a part of any type of RAID other than RAID1, you should be ok. - Sean On Fri, Oct 22, 2010 at 11:07 AM, Raper, Jonathan - Eagle <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Would it make sense to keep a small page file on the root drive so you can at least boot/reboot without concern? My exchange 2k3 box has it's exchange apps on C, and database and logs on other drives. The C drive is almost full. One of the things on C that I can move is the system page file. Is there anything special with moving a page file on an exchange server, anything to look out for, or just same as anything else?
