The download screen for the full installer has a checkbox:
[ ] Include in your download
McAfee Security Scan Plus
Simply uncheck the box. Nothing is being forced down your throat.

Well, not this morning's update, but any "fresh" install appears to force
McAfee down your throat. Previous updates (a week or so ago) also forced
McAfee down your throat.
