Try working at a public agency with a none christian. One place I worked had a long standing (>15 year) tradition of a party with donations to a worthy cause instead of gifts. None christian took over as head and tradition was stopped. It seems he did not like the groups to get the donations the previous couple of years (prior to his taking over). Party kind of died as no one wanted to step on his toes. He still wanted the tree in the front office but wanted the STAFF to pay for a real tree instead of using the artificial that someone had donated. Most said no thanks. Donations can only been given to Ronald McDonald House and most of the staff resent having the cause dictated by someone that does not donate.
