+1 on not wanting the liability. Those things are *heavy* and you'd just about have to use battleship steel to get it to not bend...and then you'd probably risk tipping the desk over from the combined weight of the UPS mount and the UPS itself. (slight exaggeration, but I think you see my point...)

Keep in mind you will have to use the USF (Ultra Small Formfactor) models for the Dell. These will limit you to what you can do with the system later as far as upgrades so approach this model with thought. I have know idea on the UPS's. You might want to talk to APC or one of the larger resellers (like CDW etc) for the under desk mountings for the UPSs.
