Interesting, the CNET utility has a nice looking download utility. I'll have to check out the licensing, but it would be great if that allowed for the updating of a central repository.
Ultimately I'm looking to keep a central file share stocked with the latest software versions of these common apps, to be distributed then to secondary staging points and then used as the target for update scripts.
