Greetings!

After a very slow start, I finally got a maintenance plan going on our
(only!) MS SQL Server database. For the past couple of months it was
backing up system datatabases, saving transaction logs, etc, and backing
up a critical database. Until last Friday...

One of the on-board NICs went wack-o on us a few weeks back. After a
great struggle, I got the OS (Win2003 R2 SP2) do disable that NIC so that
I could configure the other on-board NIC with the same IP settings.

A call to HP Support got us a replacement motherboard.

Here's the issue... The main database was getting a full daily backup at
2:15 AM, M-F. On THU I changed this to 1:15 AM so that the backup would
have run and copied elsewhere when I shut down the system for the
motherboard replacement. (That part worked fine.)

FRI, after replacing the MoBo, I changed this back to 2:15. (There is
less activity here at 2:15 than at 1:15; we are a 24x365.25 operation.)

Since then, that job has not been running. The "system database backup"
job runs fine, and transaction logs are being saved. I can go into the
"Maintenance Plans" container, right-click the database backup Plan,
choose "Execute", and it runs.

Looking at the messages, nothing happens at 2:15 AM. There are no errors,
nothing - no indication of that job at all.

I've checked the schedule, and yes, it is "Recurring", the "Enabled" box
is checked, and the individual days are checked.

Any hints as to what else to look in? Again, all I remember doing was to
change the run time from 2:15 AM to 1:15 AM (and it ran), and then
changing it back to 2:15 AM.

Thanks!
