I have no problem believing it was thumb typed - oh, you  mean the device 
is incredible...  %-}

This too is what I am thinking - either a permissions issue or a key 
somewhere in that profile.

I think what I'll try is create a new local admin account.  Then I'll see 
if I can apply the old admin profile to that account.  (Trick then is 
getting the VDA to fail on a re-boot - it only happens every few months.)

Shot in the dark here.....Could it have to do with permissions on registry 
keys associated with the particular piece of hardware in question?
