I have an ArcMail Defender appliance. Works well. You are right with how easy
it was to set up. We first connected it to Ex5.5 when we got it a few years
ago. That was a bit challenging but connecting it to our E2k7 server was cake.

One of the things that was attractive to us about it was the
non-per-user/mailbox pricing model (same as someone else said). You just have
to size it and consider growth consistent with your retention
requirements/policies.

I have just two complaints (for lack of a better word atm) about it: backups
will fill up your target (local or otherwise) and will not purge. It's a manual
process to remove them unlike other backup solution policies. My other
complaint is searches. Granted there's a great deal of indexing and tweaking,
but I would expect a search for last week's mail from "Joe Louis" to be
quicker.

Subject: ArcMail?

Had a luncheon demo today of the email archiving system from ArcMail.
I was quite impressed with the ease of setup and usability.

Anyone have experience with the ArcMail appliances or company?
