I've been using DFS combined with folder redirection for our users documents
for a while.  Works fine.

Subject: DFS for "private" folders?

We have a large program where staff spend a portion of their time at local
schools, jails (no, not as inmates...), courts, and so on. Staff periodically
go to their "home" office, which is one of our WAN sites. The home office is
used for printing, writing docs, and such. I currently use DFS to replicate
the program's data folder, and this works well. Staff access the copy at HQ
when they are using XenApp, and the access the home office folder when at that
location.

I'm asking about doing the same with their private folders. Each user's
private folder is something like
\\server\private\%username%<file:///\\server\private\%25username%25>
Can use a DSF path in user profiles even? I could always not use a namespace
and just use DFS for replication, and add a Group Policy preference mapping
based on the AD site (or something like that)

Thoughts and comments welcome.

Tom
