I think if you want to automate the cutover you're looking at vmware's SRM (Site Recovery Manager), not cheap but depends on your definition of cheap I guess.
There's plenty of products that will replicate the VM's but I don't know of any that will work out that Site A is down and switch to Site B. Are Equallogic still only doing synchronous replication, their custers don't do failover do they? If so maybe you could do something with vmware's Fault Tolerance but that would require the storage to be addressable via the same IP's when the first site goes down (we have P4000 storage cluster that does this).
