I get two e-mails in my Outlook NTSYSADMIN folder every time I use Gmail web to
reply to a post. If I reply from Outlook, I only get one e-mail.

The e-mail you send and the e-mail you receive from the list are both visible
within the conversation thread. The e-mail you see in your sent folders, is
just one of the e-mails visible in the thread....get it? :)

In that case I get 3. One in my Sent folder and two in my NTSYSADMIN folder.
