Only eSATA stuff I've done is with regular drives put inside enclosures from these people: http://www.cru-dataport.com/ The bundled drive+enclosure things are sometimes more expensive, often limited as to what you can buy, usually not upgradable or repairable, etc., etc. This is just an ordinary drive so you know exactly what you're getting. CRU's enclosures are very well built.
