(1) I haven't found K9 that easy to circumvent, and (2) OpenDNS doesn't support time-based restrictions, and (3) the kids have other restrictions that are more extensive than me or their mother.
So, the combination of OpenDNS + K9 provides the biggest bang for the buck.
