Perfect. I will go with a single server with 16GB of RAM. You think 2
Cores within VMware will work?

Under 100 servers is supported in a standard OpsMgr single-server
scenario. That is, you can deploy OpsMgr + SQL (DataWarehouse +
OperationsDB) on a single server instance. For reasonable performance, I
would recommend 12-16 GB RAM but YMMV.

If you want details, it's in the deployment guide on technet.

Subject: Operations Manager - configuration

Would anyone know a good resource on recommended server hardware and
configuration to support a System Center Operations Manager deployment
for around 25 servers? If possible I would like to spin it all up
within VMware.

Cheers

Ryan
