Nope it doesn't work. Your option is to upgrade it to Exchange 5.5
Enterprise (or make them actually get with a modern version).

Subject: Exchange 5.5 16GB limit

We have a sister company here that I occasionally have to support. I
just got a call that their Exchange 5.5(I know I laughed too.) server
reached the 16GB Information store limit and dismounted.

Does the Registry entry for expanding the database to 17GB work for this
version of Exchange or does that only apply to Exchange 2000? Is
defragging my only other option?

Thanks

Greg
