Arrgghh! I'm struggling with an installation of SC Essentials 2010. My remote SQL 2008 R2 instance on another server is indicating version 10.50.1600.1, but my SCE2010 installation keeps failing with the following in the the log:
11:41:15:PrerequisiteState = PassedWithChoices 11:41:15:InvalidSQLReason = SQL version is 9.4.5000.0. We require a version of 10.0.2531.0 or greater. 11:41:15:sqldbfiles = d:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\ I thought perhaps SQL SP1 didn't apply completely but if I try to reapply it I'm told there's nothing to update. WSUS 3.0 SP1 is also on the remote SQL box and it's using the Windows Internal DB which may be reporting 9.4.5000.0. However, I'm not trying to use that instance for the SCE database. Suggestions?
