That means I am in uncharted territory :-) I will be sure to document and share
what I learn with the list. Suffice to say I am rapidly finding out the
limitations of the product!

Merchandising Server

I was at a certain company helping write their highest level certification
exam. The team I was on was required to include at least one question about
Merchandising Server on the exam. Of the nine people on the team, not a one
had ever used, tested, evaluated or even seen the product. The Product
Manager had to be called at home late at night to show us the product so we
could come up with a question.

I finally got around to taking that exam in December and sure enough that
question made it into the live exam. I still do not know of one company or
person who has used the product in any way.

Hmmm. After much fun, I have discovered that the Receiver itself must be
pre-installed on the target device. The delivery merely handles updates to
it. Note to self - RTFM (fully).

Does anyone out there have any experience with Citrix's Merchandising Server
offering (v2.1, to be precise)? I have managed to get the thing up and
running, but I can't get a delivery to occur - it just sits in an Active
state for what appears to be forever. I am just trying to deploy the
Receiver to a single Windows XP PC, I have set up a rule to match the
computer name exactly and have had it trying to deploy since this time
yesterday. I must be missing something simple.
