Not sure... and the spelling may be off too. :D It's something I've heard/used for a LONG time... dates back, I think, to the 60's and 70's. (I know... I'm showing my age. *grin*)
According to dictionary.com it's even older than I thought... apparently it's from the late 19-teens and early 1920's.
