I had a server that BSOD'ed. It was configured for a full memory dump, but
this failed with what I believe was a hard disk space issue. (For some
reason it dumped out a 93GB file, even though the system only has 16GB of
RAM) I've removed the full dump config now, but I can't delete the monstrous
*memory.dmp* file that has been left behind. It claims to be in use.
Using *handle
*or Process Explorer shows that it is the System process (id 4) that has the
file open, but if I try to close the handle, I get the error *Error closing
handle: The handle is invalid*.

Restarting the system makes no difference. Even booting to Safe Mode yields
the same results. Anyone have any bright ideas, or am I doomed to send it
for re-imaging? It's a XenApp server, so there is no big problem with a
rebuild really, just wondering if anyone has seen this same behaviour
anywhere previously.

TIA,

JRR
