I did not know that... Normally I don't try to mess with video on my Linux
box as it heats up rather quickly. :D And I don't normally use my Windows
machine for much, other than a little bit of gaming (no, not multi-player
games... more like old-fashioned games like Breakout, etc.)

off the top of my head you have: VLC, MPC,Mplayer, RealPlayer and winamp 
as options.
