While I personally have it, since I'm a heavy user of MinGW, I bet 99% of 
Windows users don't have wget. ;-)

  Here's another one-liner:

        wget -q http://whatismyip.org/ -O -

  "-q" tells it to be quiet, and "-O -" sends output to standard out.
