Office365 provides you both a MSFT domain and your own domain. So federation is a small deal.
What we call "rich coexistence" would require you to answer lots of questions and me to spend lots of time analyzing them. But at the same time I want to keep the existing AD, exchange server etc for company employees. Challenges and restrictions of integration and co-existence are of interest.
