I'm using T-Mobile, and they recently added a new feature to their Androids: Calling over WiFi.
It counts against your minutes (and I don't care, because I have unlimited calling), but you just set up your machine for the SSIDs that you have or encounter, and it dials just fine. I'm just starting to test this today, but at work it Just Worked. Of course, who knows what's going to happen once they get swallowed by ATT, but it's a cool feature for now.
