I'm familiar with it, and I have some strategies for dealing with it. Outlining the full scope of the problem, and likely consequences of that problem. However, in this case you have a compromised system. More than likely, whatever on your website went deeper into the system. Your website is now being used as a vector to spread infection. Failure to address the problem in total is likely to result in repeated infections, which will annoy your customers which may result in lost sales, which management is probably going to like even less, especially as it puts the company out of business.
