I am a bit stuck after reading through the documentation and lists for this
project.
I have a 1400c that I want to convert to a 'debian only' machine.
Currently, using the latest miboot image, I get a kernal-panic message that the
device at /dev/hda8 is not available.

When I use the 'Drive Setup' program from the MAC install disk, I don't think
I'm creating the correct partitions....The program allows me to create HFS
partitions (of which I am creating 1) and specify the size...but that's it...
am I missing something? or should I use a different partitioning tool?

can someone point a newbie in the right direction.

Thanks,
Dan
