I was able to install Ubuntu a while back, by first doing a minimal
debian install, and then changing the repositories
in /etc/apt/sources.list from Debian to Ubuntu repositories. After an
apt-get dist-upgrade my pb1400cs had Ubuntu Breezy installed.
