Thanks Tobias!
I d/l'd the miboot.image and the orinoco driver works with added features ,
i can now switch to monitor mode , scanning works but in a limited capacity.

i did some searching on kismet site , seems orinoco works for the mn-520
card, but its not the right driver ... states that hostap is the driver to use for
full use of the card. (sigh)

I am happy as is with the orinoco you compiled in , it works enough to allow me to select a hotspot now ,
AGIAN THANKS!

p.s. any tricks on changing color depth if you only have the macOS 8.6 cd ?
i am at 256 and just wanted to try a higher depth , i ssh into my box at home
and use firefox and other programs which bleed something terrible @256..heh

Hi Ronald,

I upgraded the kernel orinoco driver to the latest release of the orinoco
driver that works with the 2.4 kernel (0.15rc2).
That release should include monitoring support.
I haven't tested the monitoring support but the driver itself is working.
I replaced the miboot.image kernel image on my webspace with a version
that includes the newer orinoco driver.
