I just setup a new miBoot ISO image based on 2.4.35.1 which is build using gcc-3.4.5 / binutils-2.15.
See http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/nubus-pmac/test/2.4.35/miboot-2.4.35.1.iso The kernel boots fine even on the Performa 5200. However the network device is not appearing as eth0. Though it is detected while scanning NuBus slots. Further it was detected in the miBoot ISO released on 28-NOV-2006 by the 8390 driver, which is not the case for the current ISO. AFAIR there were some network drivers related changes in CVS HEAD...
