There is only a slow progress in porting the old world NuBus-based Macs to Linux 2.6. Just yesterday I was working on the interrupt handlers for the Performa, which seem to be more easy than the one for the PowerBooks. I'm basically try to get a 2.6.15.7-based kernel (ARCH=ppc) to work the way it has been on 2.4. Since 2.6.15.x is one of the latest kernel versions, which works on ARCH=ppc regarding the powermac platform. Later on I plan to move to the most recent kernel version (based on ARCH=powerpc), which will require a flat device tree, etc. Currently I cannot make any commitments when a 2.6-based kernel will be in an usable state. Nevertheless I would be very happy to see PowerPup running on of these machines ;) Cheers, Florian PS: Forwarding this msg to nubus-pmac-users mailing list ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Nubus-pmac-users mailing list Nubus-pmac-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nubus-pmac-users
