Hi,
did you consider using filenameFix? Though this does not work on a per
node basis but globally. I am using it to substitute the drive letter,
because they differ on workstations and farm.
For a real c++ answer you need to wait for the pros :)
cheers

Hi all,
I'm trying to get my head around the internals of the Read node at the
moment...
What I'm trying to do is find somewhere in the Read node where I can
modify exactly where a file is being loaded from. I want to do this on a
per-file basis rather than per-sequence.
In Shake, you could get a callback based on the _curImageName plug,
which you could then modify if you needed, and it would load from a
different place, without the user having any idea what had happened...
Any tips on where I should hook into the node?
Cheers
