Sounds like a question for the Nuke-Python group.

Subject: [Nuke-dev] editing roto points via Python very slow

We have a script that creates a bunch of roto shapes and plugs a bunch of
controls points into them, which is all run from a Python script. But it
runs VERY slowly (many minutes). Is there something we're forgetting to put
around the control point setting code so updates are disabled until we're
all done or something?
