so i have found that I could possibly use OpenEXR module to check if an exr image is valid.
import OpenEXR tst = OpenEXR.InputFile(myPath) print tst.isComplete() This works in Maya python but Nuke seems to crash when it comes to this line - tst = OpenEXR.InputFile(myPath).. Does anyone know a better way? Thanks.
