Hi Howard,

Unfortunately there's no way to do this at the moment. The width of the knob is fixed to the size of its initial entries, and never changes after that, even if you add new items.

Your "hack" should work in theory (and I can't think of any other way to do it at the moment), but if you contact support we can add a feature request for this.
