Hey Chris,
I actually don't know how the Expression should look like but you can set an
expression to a specific knob in the following fasion:
cam["rotate"].setExpression("frame",0) for x knob
cam["rotate"].setExpression("frame",1) for y knob
cam["rotate"].setExpression("frame",2) for z knob
maybe this could help your problem...
