It's been ages since I wrote it so am not sure what the state of it is these days, but check out the Mari/Nuke bridge. That uses a server setup to create Nuke nodes from inside of Mari . I can't remember any performance issues with it.

Hey all, is anyone using sockets or some kind of server inside Nuke so that they can send commands to it externally? We're debating it here. What kinds of issues have you come across? Is there a hit? I noticed that one implementation kills the script editor, which I'm not a huge fan of. One person suggested using Flask as a server app.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
