In my case it seems to be related changing the gamma of a glint-node in my tree. But it's not that on its own but a combination of that and something above in that tree... Still trying to fix it.

    Hi Matt--
Looking back on it, it might not be from the rotopaint... I just
recall reading someone connecting that error to rotopaint in a forum
    somewhere.
Attached is the script where I was getting that error. I’m pretty
new to Nuke so go easy on me with the script... there’s some things
I could do better now that I’ve learned it a little more... But at
least it’s labeled and organized! ;-)
    Hope this helps

We've got a bug open on this: Bug 16414 - "Black in root got request
for zero or negative-sized box" error. That case didn't have roto,
so if you can send support any scripts that reproduce the error it
should help us isolate the problem.
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Peter--
It seems that it has something to do with the rotopaint
premultiply. If you turn off premultiply inside the roto node and
add a separate premult after the roto node, the problem goes away.
    Hope this helps

I'm getting this too in 6.1v3 on Linux. Haven't discovered a fix yet.

        Hi everyone--

Relatively new to Nuke here. I'm getting an error that is
apparently related to rotopaint and I was wondering if anyone
could give me any tips on how to avoid/fix this...

This is the error: "Black in root got request for zero or
        negative-sized box"

It apparently causes Nuke to slow down quite a bit as well.

        Much appreciated!
