Anyone recommend a workstation setup (PC) that can be used for Nuke and AE?
I'm looking to work in 2k and HD. We will be working mostly with RED files.

I am looking to build one fast "Lead" workstation and one generic "Junior" workstations (used for roto, tracking, cleanups )

I'm looking at a cost effective solutions. I don't want to buy expensive components like Quadro cards. Pulling large files from the network is slow so I was thinking of copying footage to local drives.

What kind of drives do i need to comp and stream 2k from disk?

Would 16 GB ram be enough?

Anyone use AMDs for CPU?

What monitors are recommended alternatives to HP Dreamcolor?
