I haven’t actually tried using the 3D Connexion in Nuke (I have the Space
Explorer,) but with the beta 3DxWare 10 driver, you can now use their 3D mouse
in any app... at least in theory. It used to be that the software needed to
have specific support, but that’s not strictly the case now. Here’s the
pertinent links...

“Much More Than a Mouse
The simple 3DxWare 10 interface allows you to assign keyboard strokes and
traditional mouse or joystick movements in any combination to the 3D mouse. For
example, tilt the controller cap to scroll a Web page, twist the cap to adjust
the volume in iTunes, or use all six axes to pilot a helicopter in Battlefield
Bad Company 2. The choice of application and assignment of the six axes and up
to 31 function keys (depending on the 3D mouse model) is entirely up to you.”

Good luck! Let us know how it goes! ;-)

Wow, sounds...intense..! Will stick to not use it then, lol. Thanks though Deke!

Last I knew the 3d connexion can't simply be assigned to arbitrary key/mouse
strokes. Instead you have to specially write support for your application
using their SDK.

    Hello all,

I've been looking around for a long time, and I saw one or two people who
managed to get their 3d connexion spacepilot working with Nuke's 3d system.
Is there anyone at all who ever managed to get it working, or know someone
who has it working? I know it's a longshot...

Market is probably too small to make a driver for this, but as a former 3d
artist I keep hoping :)
