Sounds like what you really want are the onCreate/onUserCreate callbacks (see
http://docs.thefoundry.co.uk/nuke/63/pythondevguide/callbacks.html#onusercreate).
The PyCustom_Knob is used for embedding PyQt widgets in Nuke’s interface, not
running arbitrary scripts.

Subject: [Nuke-users] Python Custom... in gizmo Manage User Knobs drop down
Hi,
Been looking for an answer to this for a while, and can't find anything on it.
I've made a gizmo, and I want a python script to be run when created, which
sets values in certain knobs. I've used the Python Script Button but don't want
there to be any interaction, so I have been trying to use the Python Custom...
option without success. I have assumed that this option should allow you to add
a python script to be run, but I can't find any reference to it in forums or in
the documentation. Am I using this correctly, or could someone point me in the
correct direction.
Thanks
Tommy
