This thread got me thinking so I emailed the developer and sure enough, they just released the Nuke auto comp builder I mentioned before. Here is the link to the PhotoShop plugin that exports the layered EXRs http://www.fnordware.com/ProEXR/
Here is a link to the Nuke python script that will layer the EXR the same way in Nuke that it was in PhotoShop. It will also set mixes to match opacity settings in PhotoShop as well as layer blend modes. If you open the py script it will give and explanation of how the layer blends translate from PhotoShop to Nuke; useful knowledge regardless of whether you are using the plugin or not. http://fnordware.blogspot.com/2011/10/proexr-16-released.html
