Is primatte messing up on a multipass exr or is it just plates? I've had similar issues with Frischluft which I've solved by shuffeling out the rgba passes and cropping to avoid data outside the view. Maybe Primatte has the same sort of oddities?

You could try, if it's not the case already, to render your exr's into scanline exr files, as the seem to read cleaner?

Anyone ever seen this error before:

Read12: Error reading pixel data from image file
".../filename.1001.exr". No frame buffer specified as pixel data destination

It seems to happen repeatedly on a comp, on random frames.

The problem part seems to be a Read (filename.1001.exr) connected to a
Primatte node - if I plug anything between these two (e.g Blur set to
0.1), the error seems to go away..
