If you're on Linux, you can install purely using the command-line using:
tar -xzvf Nuke6.3v6-linux-x86-release-64.tgz
unzip Nuke6.3v6-linux-x86-release-64-installer -d
/path/to/install/nuke/to/including/Nuke6.3v6/
The Mari equivalent is using the installer directly as a script:
sh Mari1.4v1-linux-x86-release-64.run --accept-eula --target
/path/to/install/mari/to/including/Mari1.4v1/

The nuke install is self contained so you can extract the .pkg and

yep, thanks Alex. We do that too, but some of our machines don't
support remote install of pkg's for some reason.
