Your giving lots of different combinations so it is hard to diagnose because it depends the file type and lut your applying on the way out. Srgb in the write node always clips to 1. You would need to use the colorspace node to prevent clipping. Linear colorspace out with any 16 or 32 bit float file type shouldn't ever clip.
