Hi all
I am rendering from 3ds max and Vray into nuke. I'm my Vray buffer in
max you can see I have a lot of channels, however in Nuke only so many
of these are visible?
Some appear in the grade mask but not all.
Am I doing something wrong?
As you can see from the images all the "mm_" elements, which are multi
mattes, are not showing within nuke?
Any help much appreciated!
Nuke can cope with 1023 channels internally, but due to the way the EXR
reader works, it doesn't always map AOVs to channels that are visible in
Nuke unfortunately.
Basically, Nuke expects channel names to be in a certain format for it
to recognise them and map them to one of its internal layers/channels.
Unless the channel names match that format (or certain built in ones),
it won't always recognise them.
There's a feature request (Bug 29604) which is to do with improving
this, if you want to contact [email protected] to increase
priority on the issue...
Cheers,
Peter
